From pulp horror to avant garde poetics, writing that hits hard by Jedediah Smith

This is what contemporary poetry looks like.
Theories abound to explain the global metamorphosis of molds into castle-like structures of crystalline minerals, the psychedelic properties of quotidian country roads, and the mutation of subversive minorities into mass movements crowding vast amphitheaters. Living in an age of counter-information, every undeniable fact is countered with an equal and opposite undeniable fact. Theories develop to account for the facts, for the contradictions, for the oppositions, only to be subverted by a new set of facts. The PoJo Show presents “Theories” an exploration of the map-less present by means of an already debunked past. Equal parts Joe Frank and J.G. Ballard, with a dash of Jim Ladd’s old Headsets program: put on your headphones, close your eyes, and free your mind.
